About Ms. Lieras

Beth Lieras is a dedicated piano teacher with over twenty years of experience helping students build strong technique, confidence, and musical understanding.

She holds a degree in Piano Pedagogy from Pacific Union College and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studied Kodály Music Education with Brent Gault and organ with Marilyn Keiser and Chris Young.

Ms. Lieras has taught piano in a variety of settings and previously taught classroom music, band, and choir—experience that strengthened her understanding of how students learn, communicate, and thrive in music. She also has significant experience working with students who have special learning needs and adapts instruction to support a wide range of learning styles.

A lifelong musician, Ms. Lieras began performing in church and recital settings by age eight. Her early years included a mix of natural curiosity, self‑directed learning, and formal study—an experience that shaped her commitment to giving beginners and intermediate students a strong, healthy foundation at the piano.

Ms. Lieras is a certified member of the Music Teachers Association of California and has served on her local chapter board. She prepares students for Certificate of Merit evaluations and offers readiness‑based preparation for Royal Conservatory of Music assessments.

Students and their families appreciate Ms. Lieras’ friendly, structured approach, clear communication, and commitment to helping each student grow at a comfortable, steady pace.
